On Tuesday, Helen met with Janet a former Hillcrest student, whose 2018 university application we are currently supporting.
Janet, when studying at Hillcrest, came out with the highest possible score in her Grade 12 exams, yet was met with tragedy when her father died, leaving his wife with five children to provide for. Janet’s mother works exceptionally hard to provide for her children, yet despite this she is still unable to afford Janet’s university tuition fees. With the help of Our Moon, Janet hopes to achieve a scholarship, providing her with the opportunity to study and succeed.
